Minnesota Ice
Minnesota - yes it's cold here in the winter, and the color scheme leans to grays and blues. But ice on the creek is always interesting. The best time is right after a sharp drop in temperature, but before snow falls and covers it up. At places where the water runs quickly and currents are broken up, interesting things happen at the interface of ice and water. A photographer needs to work carefully, to get close without going in - and use a fast shutter to catch the ripples.
