Insects live and work in a world of amazing botanical structure and intense color that we can barely imagine. I try to capture the beauty of these wildly varied and amazingly successful creatures, in the small yet dazzling world they live in.

Green Darner In The Sun
A Green Darner, Anax junius, warms itself in the sun. This one was glistening wet and motionless, so it may have recently emerged and is waiting for its wings to dry and stiffen.
